Very rare: True Lidocaine allergy has been reported in less than 0.3% of people who get skin tested. Most people who report Lidocaine allergy experienced symptoms such as tachycardia, flushing or agitation following an injection in the dentist's office. This is much more likely due to the effects of Epinephrine typically administered with Lidocaine in this situation.
