It depends: In the time prior to menopause it's not uncommon for a woman's cycle to become irregular. Your cycle can also change with stress, anxiety, changes in weight/diet, etc. If you've been having recent unprotected sex it's also possible you may be pregnant. Typically, I wouldn't suggest looking for answers with a physician unless you have more than 2 missed cycles.
