Do lots of people get coronary artery disease, or is it unusual?

Common: Unless you die from an accident or truma, if you die of natural causes, the most common cause of death are cardiac event or stroke or cancer. Heart attacks and strokes are secondary to arteriosclerosis. Dying during sleep when you are 100 y/o still a cardiac event or a stroke. Of about 3000 autopsies done on young soldiers, approx. 20% already showed signs of early arteriosclerosis.

Dominant Behavior: Atherosclerosis, artery ds: the underlying mechanism, typically begins at ~age 7yrs & is human dominant behavior, yet remains asymptomatic for decades because it is in the wall of the arteries, not the opening. As disease progresses, mostly within the convex inner curves, the artery wall thickens, enlarges & opening/lumen remains unchanged. Plaque rupture induced clots create the sudden "events”.
