A member asked:

Aren't medical "truths" only based on studies of predominantly white people? implication being other ethnicities are different, patient is not lying

Absolutely not so: This may have been true in the 1950's. Hamster, you would be astonished at the efforts that researchers are made to extend their findings to discover what different ethnic groups have in common, and how they differ. Spend an hour with a medical librarian; you'll see this is true. Whoever has told you this is trying to deceive and manipulate you; i'm sorry there are people in the world like this.

Not Necessarily: About one-third of clinical trials are done in the european free trade area, about one-third of clinical trials are done in the United States and canada, and about one-third of clinical trials are done in asia, central and south america. Drugmakers have increasingly been turning to china for large clinical trials because they’re cheaper and there’s a bigger population of subjects to draw on.
