Can a dr find out , that a person have blood clots or a thyroid problem even of they weren't looking for it in your blood work?

Yes : If you do a CBC or cell blood count and a thyroid test like TSH you can find these problems if you were having these tests done as a routine screening.

Sometimes: Your medical history, symptoms and physical examination could suggest the presence of a thyroid disease or a DVT or PE, which your doctor will order specific test to confirm or eliminate his suspicion
