Depends - risk facto: High risk status individuals (prior preeclampsia, chronic hypertension, lupus, chronic kidney disease, obesity, teenagers in first pregnancy, women older than 35 with new partner, short sexual cohabitation, apls) have a risk of up to 25%. Most other women have a much lower risk of 3-7% Aspirin 81 mg daily taken before conception or before 16 weeks can help decrease the risk in the first group.
