Usually none : Anemia is common in pregnancy. Most commonly it is caused by iron deficiency and treated with an iron supplement. In most cases it will not be severe enough to affect the baby but can cause risks to the mother. In very severe cases it can lead to poor fetal growth and poor birth outcomes. What is the best method to find basal body temperature?

1 doctor answer1 doctor weighed in
Dr. Neeoo Chin
Fertility Medicine 40 years experience
Not accurate: As you first wake up place a basal body thermometer underneath your tongue for approximately 3 minutes. A digital thermometer is easier and more convenient. Unfortunately basal body temperature taking is very confusing. Any type of movement or any type of activity prior to awakening in taking the temperature will falsely elevated the temperature. Also when the temperature has risen approximately .6 to 1° ovulation has already occurred.
