It's: Likely a lack of hormonal regulation from irregular ovulation. Consider the ocp, consider a pregnancy test if applicable. It happens sometimes and is easily remediable.

Periods vary: Menstruation varies from woman to woman and there are variabilities. They are not exactly 28 days. As long as periods are consistent for an individual person, it's not particularly concerning.

Sort of.....: When a girl first gets her period, her body is often not ready yet to give us a normal monthly period. It can take a year or more to really regulate before we get a text book "period." Most of the time we just need to be patient, but sometimes, especially if there is prolonged and heavy bleeding, medication is used to prevent excess blood loss. It sounds like you should visit your doctor.

3 wks of bleeding: Your period has lasted almost 3 wks straight. If it is brownish, and not heavy (no clots), then you probably aren't at risk for anemia from the bleeding, but if it continues, you may want to see your gyn. If sexually active, check a pregnancy test just in case. If negative, it may be that your body is starting to approach "the change" of menopause. You're a little young for that, but it happens.
