A member asked:

Can you die from pancoast syndrome?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

No, but: The cause of the syndrome (drooped eye, lack of sweating, pain in the shoulder or arm) is usually lung cancer! first described by hare in the london medical gazette in 1835. Pancoast was a radiologist at penn and said it was incurable. It is cured as frequently as other lung presentations, commonly treated with chemo/rt, then surgery.
