Nope.: Asperger's syndrome is a high functioning form of autism which affects an individuals communication and their development of social skills. Understanding of others emotions may be a challenge. Many individuals with asperger's are intelligent and successful, however they may have difficulty with interpersonal relationships.

No and Possibly: Asperger's syndrome does not cause death, and it does not directly lead to a shortened life span. However, people with asperger's tend to have trouble with lack of awareness of their environment, so it is possible that this group of people may be at a higher risk of accidents, some of which could be life-threatening.
