Not necessarily: The body should know when you are due and begin contractions that you can feel at that time. You may be having some that only a monitor strapped to your belly would feel. If you are worried about babies status you could have a fetal stress test which includes such monitoring.

No: You feel those things earlier in first pregnancy because your uterus isn't as stretched out. With subsequent pregnancies, you may not feel the things you ask about until you actually start labor. You are not due yet, so please let mother nature take her course and your body will tell you when it is time - maybe today, maybe i a week. Congratulations!
