Confusing question: Newborns are often tested for their blood sugar level to see if they can bring theirs up to normal after moms supply from the placenta is cut off.Infants of diabetic mothers in particular have a risk of very low blood sugars. Juvenile diabetes is most common in the 6-10 yr old but i've seen it as early as 15m. Testing a newborn would not predict if s/he would get it at 6.
