A member asked:

Am heart patient got ptca with two stent. experiencing occassional heartburn. told my cardio he advised to see a dr for stomach. hope not heart again?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

2 diseases: Getting blockage in your heart doesn't make you immune to getting heartburn. You can have both. Angina usually has an exertional component - worse with activity, improved by rest. Heart burn usually changes with meals - getting better or worse, even with just drinking water. Antacids usually help. A stress test can help distinguish these and you may benefit from one.
