Many causes: Tobacco use is a major risk factor and i urge you to stop smoking. If you have undergone a stress test and it's completely normal, your risk for coronary obstruction falls to <10% but it isn't zero. Other causes include bronchitis, pleurisy, acid reflux and muscular chest wall pain to name a few possibilities. Continue to follow up with your doctor - more testing may be needed.
