Look inside nose!: Please have your doctor look inside both nostrils. If there is still some confusion or concern, please see an otolaryngologist (ear, nose and throat) doctor. Only if the doctor thinks it will be useful should imaging be performed.

A combination: Of physical exam and ct scan is usually sufficient.

Septal deviation: This can only be determined by physical examination. Be sure to have your nose evaluated by a board certified otolaryngologist.

By examination: the easiest way is to get an examination by a qualified physician. Symptoms include stuffiness, audible breathing, obstruction, snoring, etc. In some instances only the internal part is affected whereas in more advanced conditions the external parts of the nose and bridge may be deviated as well.
