Anxiety: It is unlikely that medication alone will solve your anxiety and panic difficulties. Psychotherapy can be immensely helpful, consult with a mental health professional who specializes in anxiety treatment. Remember that anxiety is most often caused by misperception of situations and interactions. Best wishes.

25 mg of Xanax (alprazolam)??: If truly taking 25 mg xanax (alprazolam) as you wrote (not the more normal .25-.5 mg several times daily) you are on a huge dose. And yet the symptoms you have are most likely panic related. Xanax (alprazolam) alone is not a cure-all for panic, and it is habit forming. Ssri antidepressants are much better are preventing panic. Plus psychotherapy helps panic too. Please consult with a psychiatrist if you haven't yet.

Knowlege, Breathing: Panic is fueled by oxygen. When panicking ur getting too much. So try 2slow ur breathing. Better yet, 2keep more carbon dioxide in ur system: cup ur hands & breathe in/out thru them. Do learn about panic: http://bit.Ly/xjnhyf cognitive behavioral therapy can help u learn 2manage, even overcome panic & anxiety. Even better when u add insight re ur life...Situations that trigger fight/flight/freeze.
