Can i die from herniated disk if i ignore it?

Unlikely, possible: In practice, I have not seen a patient die of a herniated disc that was not treated. It is possible due to complications that may be associated with the herniation. With cases involving paralysis or bed-ridden conditions, pulmonary and vascular complications can occur including pneumonia or pulmonary embolism. Complications from pain medication usage can also occur.
