Racing thoughts: Racing thoughts are when your mind jumps quickly from idea to idea -- sometimes faster than you can follow them. If you're talking this way also, others may not understand you well, and you could feel impatient. When thoughts speed up this way, it can definitely interfere with concentration. This situation can happen with mania, hypomania, abuse of stimulants, anxiety, and other causes too.

Consult with your doctor to rule out any medical causes and if you are cleared consider consulting with a mental health professional if your thoughts continue to trouble you.
