30 to 60 minutes/day: Most americans do not get enough exercise. Very few exercise 'too much'. Some exercise everyday is beneificial. The recommendations are to get at least 30 to 60 minutes a day. Some great forms of exercise are walking, yoga, jumping rope, and swimming.

With support: You have brought up an important question. Everyone caring for someone with a chronic illness needs to be diligent to take care of themselves so they can be an effective caregiver. You need to seek out support in the form of either direct help to give you breaks, someone to talk to for emotional support, help with chores or shopping. Whatever you need. Don't go it alone, get the help you need.
A 31-year-old member asked:

Is it okay to eat junk food while trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle?

Dr. Robert Kwok

Decent junk food ok: Not all junk food is the same. Decent junk food is better than the bad junk food. If one is very healthy, meaning he eats healthy natural foods most of the time; exercises well; and has no personal nor family history of diabetes, obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, or high cholesterol; then small amounts of junk food are ok to eat. Frequent or excess junk food will start these problems.
