Possible BPH: Enlargement of the prostate results in some men having progressive urinary problems as they age. The symptoms usually start slowly and included hesitancy as you describe, start/stop flow, straining to pee and a sensation of incomplete emptying. Nighttime peeing may increase, as may an urgent need to go.
