It can: Most often it is pain crisis-you may need round the clock pain mess, good hydration, and o2. Rarely chest syndrome occurs which may turn out to be serious problem. Or hemolytic crisis, may need blood transfusion etc.

Yes.: Yes, the most common symptom is pain which can affect any part of the body. It can be mild or severe. It is also associated with fever, shortness of breath and nausea/vomiting. Sickle cell crisis can also cause severe conditions such as strokes, heart attacks or multi-organ failure.

Yes: Sickle cell crisis typically presents with the predominant symptom of pain. He can typically be in the bone, abdominal pain or pleuritic pain. The skin also be associated with shortness of breath.

Yes: Acute painfully episodes are episodes resulted from deceease blood flow and vessel occlusion caused by change of the shape of the red blood cells under specific circumstances.And the location of the pain depends on the location of the occlusion. In addition to those episodes sickle cells disease patients may have other symptoms like anemia (low blood), stroke, heart problems, infections, lung...).
