May be TMD symptom: Assuming that you don't now have a cold or allergy flare ups ruled out. Eustachian tube (et) goes from throat to middle ear to equalize pressure on either side of ear drums. Plugged ears are common symptoms of temporo mandibular dysfunction (tmd). Trigeminal nerve controls the jaw muscles as well as the tiny muscle- tensor veli palatini - that opens eustachian tube. Hence the symptoms.
