A member asked:

What are the exact names of otc lotions that contain a great amount of vitamin d...it is to be used on my psoriasis hand?

Not same as analogs: Calcipotriol, Calcitriol and tacalcitol creams, ointments and lotions are vitamin d *analogs* that are commonly used to treat psoriasis. Vitamin d, in and of itself, has little or no activity against psoriasis.

Generic As Good: The otc generic vitamin d creams and lotions are as good as the brand name ones, while being less expensive. Neither are as good as the prescription creams for treating psoriasis and the generic prescription creams cost around the same price as the generic otc creams.
