A member asked:

I'm afraid of medical interventions. alot of times dr's say this is riskless and then people tell me they had huge side effects from it. who to trust?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

See below: Nothing in life (including medicine) is without risk. As an example, there are more serious and fatal overdoses from tylenol (acetaminophen) than any other medicine. Having said that, every treatment prescribed or administered has its benefits weighed against the potential harm. If you are likely to get seriously ill or die from not doing a procedure or taking a med, then obviously it's better to do it.
