HSG: The main effect of chlamydia infection is on the fallopian tubes. The best test to evaluate the conditions of the fallopian tubes is the hysterosalpingogram (hsg). Since you are only 16 i would recommend using condoms and contraception while sexually active. Once you are ready to have kids you can performed the hsg test . With only 1 chlamydia infection there is good chance your tubes are open.

Protection: First of all, you're only 16, start using protection if you are going to have intercourse at all so you don't get re-infected. You may also consider getting tested for other stds if you haven't done so already. When the time comes and you're ready to have a child, your doctor can do an hysterosalpingogram (hsg) to determine if the chlamydia damaged your tubes.
