24 hours: Any activity that increases heart rate or blood pressure should be avoided for a minimum of 24 hours after the bleeding has ceased after dental extraction in order to minimize the risk of losing the blood clot and continued bleeding to occur.

I don't know: That there is any literature on this topic, but i would guess wait a day or so. Any form of physical exercise might affect the formation or retention of the blood clot - and that will lead to problems. Hope this helps.
