Lagophthalmos : Your description sounds like you may have nocturnal lagophthalmos which means that the one eye is staying partially open, drys out, and then develops reflex tearing in the morning. Try using overthecounter ointment (like refresh pm, lacrilube (artificial tears) or systane nighttime.
