Claritin (loratadine) side effect: It might, but really rare. Claritin (loratadine) is one of the safest and most tolerable medication to use at the otc dose.

In some some, maybe: Like many medications, some people experience headaches. In the clinical studies for Claritin (loratadine) about 12% of people reported headache. Interestingly, 11% of patients given placebo (sugar pill) reported headache also. Headache is a common symptom and not necessarily from the medication.
