Menstrual Clots: Some clotting with menstrual flow is normal. Size matters ! golf ball size clots , heaviness sensation and cramping should be evaluated. A pelvic examination and ultrasound may help

Normal: It is very common to pass blood clots with your period. It is also common for the nature of your periods to change with time. Even if you have never had clots (or cramps, etc) with your periods, you could start noticing them as time goes by. If you have always passed clots or had cramps, you could also find that they eventually dissappear from your cycles.
