Long term: Those that have long term problems with dry eyes are those people that had issues before lasik. To avoid any such problems before lasik surgery. Any dryness should be treated. Then when stable proceed with lasik with preop treatment using restasis.

Dry eye: The incidence of post-lasik dry eye which does not resolve is very rare. Most cases just have not been treated appropriately by a cornea doctor.
