Your doc: It all depends upon why your vision is that way. It's a good question to ask your ophthalmologist.

Moderate myopia: These numbers indicate the amount of nearsightedness you have. At 19 years old, it possible these are stable and won't get much worse. Most nearsighted people tend to get worse during the teenage years and stabilize in the late teen's or early 20's. When it becomes stable, you can have laser to fix it. Or you can continue to wear glasses or contact lenses.
