2 days late: The most important step was to irrigate the splash with a lot of clean water. Now your body is going thru a healing phase where the crusting will occur. Just keep a look out for signs of infection, in which case antibiotics will be needed. Do not pick on it, the result will only be worse. You can put some cream on it to keep it from drying out and itching.
