A member asked:

I'm sensitive when it comes to medication, i want to take claritin (loratadine) but will it still work if i get the childrens kind?

Lower dose: Children's Claritin is just half the dose of the adult variety. It may be easier (and less expensive!) to just break the adult tablet in half. If it eases your mind, Claritin is generally very well tolerated, with much less drowsiness than older medications like benadryl (diphenhydramine).

Possibly: The children's dose might not be strong enough. If so just increase to the adult dose (10mg).
