A member asked:

What are the statistics on nicotine addiction potential without someone actually inhahling?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

PURPOSE?: First, the question says you smoke or chew. The mucosal membranes of your mouth and tissues of your tongue will absorb nicotine. Your next breath will bring residual nicotine to your lungs. Stats don't matter. It's addivtive and odds are it will hurt you. Be kind to yourself and stop trying to make it all right. Stop.
