Eye swelling: When you say "tumefaction" i assume you just mean eye swelling. For relative recent onset of eye swelling, consider causes like allergies (hay fever), bug bites, or infections (pink eye). For longer term eye swelling consider thyroid disease, tumor, or other infiltrative disease.
