You can't....: Short of a court order. The abuser has to see the value of rehab and be willing to go. An intervention might help an abuser to see how their actions have had negative effects and why they should get treatment, but someone still has to get to the front door of a rehab facility. Many states are now also offering treatment instead of jail, but some people don't want the stigma of being labeled.
