R.I.C.E. + X-RAYS: As it appears you are in the acute stage of injury, the first thing you need to do is treat the pain and swelling. Rice=rest, ice, compression, and elevation. It is most like quite stiff and bruised at this point. I always treat this with an unna boot. This is a soft cast. (zinc oxide paste impregnated gauze) it decreases the swelling and if also decreases the inflammation. I advise x-rays!
