Live Life Fully: Physicians need to be well rounded humans who have an innate interest in the fullness of life; who have a built in concern for others; and who are willing to live a life of ongoing learning. Many physicians are creative types or artists. One should be prepared to be well read, to have hobbies, and life experiences that have cemented the desire to study and practice medicine.

Study: I congratulate you on your decision. Keep an open mind and study. Medicine is both a science and art. You still have many years to make choices. Look at colleges with pre-med progams. If you have the opportuntiy to do volunteer work in a hospital, you will have some exposure to the medical field. Talk with your own doctor about a career in medicine.
