Don't walk: Barefoot in public showers, keep feet dry, consider a visit to your doctor/podiatrist if over the counter meds not helping.

Lifestyle : Lifestyle modification includes using deodorant to stop excess sweat and then applying antifungal creams 3x daily to feet. Also, bleaching socks and lysol shoes and throw away flip flops (one of the major spreaders of athletes foot). If too severe, you may need oral meds. Best of luck.

Try: Antifungal medication from your foot doctor and good hygine is very important. Spacy shoes with antifungal products and use moisture wicking socks. All can be given to you by your local foot doctor.
