Large fibroid: A fibroid as large as yours likely won't go away on its own. Depot Lupron (leuprolide) is a medication (shot) that can shrink fibroids, but only for short time. After stopping medication, they typically grow back. Uterine artery embolization is an option, as is surgery to remove fibroid. You're young, so you might not want to wait until menopause, when fibroids do shrink on their own.
