Was prescribed to take senna and diosmin. also taking birth control pills. will taking these together cause me any problems?

Likely not: There should be no lessening of the effectiveness of your birth control when taking these other 2 substances with the birth control pills. Make sure to take oral contraceptive at same time every day if you can. Best of luck!

Shouldn't effect : Sennas act as laxatives and are similar to aloe and rhubarb. These compounds act on the lower bowel to increase peristaltic movements by irritating the colonic mucosa. Diosmin is a semisynthetic drug (modification of hesperidin) typically a phlebotrophic medication used in treatment of venous disease. Technically, these medications should have no effect on the efficacy of birth control pills.
