Facial rash at 5 wks: Facial rashes on babies are common. Babies do have immature sweat gland and are prone to heat rash which some call prickly heat (miliaria rubra). Eczema, seborrhea, and baby acne are also possible causes. A picture of the rash would help. Regardless avoid soap and over bathing and use hypoallergenic moisturize liberally. See your doctor if not improved.

Not likely: You should consider a contact dermatitis from soap or cleansers. If it pesists see your dermatologist.
