A member asked:

Can you eat shellfish when you're pregnant?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: You just need to make sure it is properly handled and cooked. While i wouldn't make it the mainstay of your pregnancy diet, some shellfish is fine. Raw and incompletely cooked shellfish may be an issue. Limiting your intake of lake fish is also recommended as is some salt water fish known to have more pollutants like swordfish.
