Silicone gel: There are many different brands of silicone gel and it comes in different forms (sheeting, ointments, creams, solutions, films, strips). Usually nothing: Post surgical scars and trauma scars can usually do well on there own. There are many products that claim to help, but there is little proof. That being said, many feel they can help. Go to the first aid aisle at any pharmacy. Always remember to not get too much sun exposure on the incision for that first year after surgery (sunscreen). Hypertrophic scars can be treated too.
