What are some side effects of not using protective eyewear in tanning beds?

Cancer: Obviously the risk of excessive uv radiation exposure is bad--all parts of your skin, eyes included. Actually the eyes are quite a bit more sensitive then the rest of your skin, thus exposure to excessive ua radiation and cause damage to the eyes/vision, and possibly cancer...So, use your common sense and protect them...The eyes are precious!

Tanning beds & eyes: According to the health physics society, your eyes are especially prone to damage from tanning bed use. In fact, research shows that, in a tanning bed, ultraviolet radiation exposure to the eyes reaches up to 100 times greater than from the sun.
