Indoor tanning beds pose a risk for certain kinds of skin cancer like melanoma, because of the uv rays they emit .They can also cause premature aging of the skin and serious damage to the eye .Some people can also have an allergic rash if they are sensitive to the UV radiation. FDA is trying to regulate the exposure by having the manufacturer post a recommended exposure schedule .
