Is cuff on blood pressure monitor suppose to squeeze arm so tight to painful to bear? making three red lines on my arm after. can this be safe to use

Check your cuff: The sphygmomanometer may have settings that limit the maximum pressure. If your blood pressure is always 150/90 or less for example, you may be able to tell you cuff to only go up to 170 (rather than 200 mmhg). This would make it more tolerable. Either way it is not likely to be dangerous.
