Mental Health: Ocd in kids is different in many ways from adults. It can be related to immune problems associated with strep infections or it can be familial or genetic. Usually there is gradual onset of symptoms between 9 and 10 years and many children will improve with time. This is less likely if there are other associated problems like anxiety or developmental disorders.
