A member asked:

Does one have to take insulin after taking it once?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

I don't understand: Your question. People with type 1 diabetes need Insulin life long. Other people with type 2 diabetes may need Insulin for a period of time and then no longer need it if they have been able to lose weight and reduce their Insulin resistance or their situation has otherwise changed. Insulin is not necessarily a permanent therapy.
