Vein Specialist: I hear this complaint every day. Varicose veins are due to malfunctioning valves(refluxing) usually of the saphenous system. You should have a full venous evaluation with a reflux venous ultrasound and this is best evaluated by a vein specialist. There are many minimally invasive and cosmetically very acceptable treatments for varicose veins.

Yes help: Look up american college of phlebology website to start to understand this disease varicose veins just get worse with time & can lead to deep vein thrombosis or cause skin changes, cramping, restless legs, swelling, or leg ulcers or vein ruptures. It is better to get treated early now that there are minimally invasive procedures done in office with local anesthetic to remove unsightly veins.
